Former Chelsea and Everton midfielder Ross Barkley spent last season at Luton, who dropped out of the Premier League. But the player himself, unlike his already former club, will remain in the elite of English football.

The signing of the 30-year-old midfielder was announced by Aston Villa, which, however, did not announce the details of the transition, not even voicing the line of the agreement. Thanks to the portal Transfermarkt only know that Luton will receive for Barkley 5.9 million euros.

The midfielder joined the Premier League newcomer only last summer from Nice in France, which is the only foreign club in the career of the ex-England player. In Luton he played 37 matches, in which he scored 5 goals and gave six assists.

It is worth noting that it will not be the first time he will play at Aston Villa. He spent the 2020/2021 season on loan at Birmingham City.
