50 million is not enough. Brighton rejects Chelsea and Newcastle bids for João Pedro transfer

Brighton striker João Pedro has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, with Chelsea and Newcastle standing out among the suitors. However, the Seagulls are in no hurry to part ways with the Brazilian forward, despite receiving substantial transfer offers.
According to The Guardian, both the Blues and the Magpies have tabled bids of £50 million each for the player. Reports indicate that Brighton has rejected both approaches, considering the Brazilian a key figure and a long-term asset in their strategic plans. Negotiations for a potential transfer are ongoing, but the club insists they will only consider an offer that is truly extraordinary.
For reference, the 23-year-old forward, whose contract runs until the summer of 2028, featured in 27 Premier League matches last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists.
