Swansea vs Norwich prediction: Championship leaders face relegation strugglers
Swansea head into the ninth round in excellent spirits. Vítor Matos's side have collected 17 points from eight matches and, much to the surprise of many, sit top of the Championship.

The Welsh side have won their last two matches, first beating Burnley 3-1 at home before edging past Lincoln 2-1 away. Swansea have conceded just six goals in eight rounds, one of the best defensive records in the league.
Norwich's situation is considerably more difficult.
The Canaries sit only 17th with nine points. After beating Birmingham, Philippe Clement's side have lost three consecutive league matches: to Middlesbrough (3-4) and then Bolton (3-4). In between those games, they were thrashed 5-0 by Manchester City in the League Cup. The main problem is obvious: their defense is breaking down far too often.
There are also concerns on the personnel front. Swansea will be without right-back Josh Key, who has suffered a serious injury. Norwich face an even bigger setback with the loss of Mohamed Touré, as the forward is set to miss several months with a shoulder injury. Several other players are also unavailable, leaving Clement with the difficult task of reshaping his lineup.
Norwich have the better head-to-head record, but the most recent meetings have favored the hosts: the teams drew 1-1 in April, while Swansea won 2-1 at home in October 2025.
On paper, the hosts look like the favorites: they lead the table, boast a solid defense and have won two matches in a row, while Norwich are mired in a crisis. However, the visitors have enough attacking quality to cause problems. I therefore expect at least a few dangerous chances in this match, and Swansea are well placed to extend their winning run.
My prediction: Swansea to win.
