Tunisia is considering appointing a local coach if negotiations with Hervé Renard fail
Anis Boujelbene is reportedly the top choice of Tunisian football officials for the role.
The Tunisian Football Federation is looking to appoint a manager for its national team. Although Hervé Renard took charge of the side in the middle of the 2026 World Cup following Sabri Lamouchi’s sacking, his future with the Eagles of Carthage remains uncertain.
The French tactician is said not yet to have decided whether he wishes to continue or not following the Tunisian team’s elimination from the 2026 World Cup. Negotiations are, however, reportedly underway between Hervé Renard and the governing body of Tunisian football.
However, should talks with the French manager break down, Tunisian football officials would prefer to appoint a local coach for the Eagles of Carthage, according to the Tunisian press. Anis Boujelbene, the current manager of Tunisia’s Under-23 team, is reportedly the Tunisian Football Federation’s first choice.
