In the Austrian Bundesliga today, on May 19th, the final round of the current season took place. For the first time in 11 years, there's a new champion: Sturm Graz.

In the last round, Christian Ilzer's team hosted Austria from Klagenfurt. Sturm Graz led Salzburg by two points before this match, so a victory would secure them the championship.

The match was dominated by the hosts, who, thanks to goals from Wüthrich and Kamara, achieved a well-deserved victory. The team became the Austrian champions for the fourth time in its history and the first time since the 2010/11 season. In addition to the championship, Sturm Graz also won the Austrian Cup this season, completing the "double."

It is noteworthy that the "black and white" team ended Red Bull Salzburg's hegemony, which had been the Austrian champion for ten consecutive years. Additionally, besides the gold medals, Sturm Graz also secured a direct entry into the UEFA Champions League group stage.
