Returning as Tunisia's head coach, Sami Trabelsi has one goal in mind: getting his country qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2026. During his formal presentation, the 57-year-old coach made a forceful statement: "I will leave my position immediately without hesitation if we fail to qualify."

Prior to this, Trabelsi led Tunisia to victory in the 2011 African Nations Championship (CHAN) between 2011 and 2013. He now has the task of returning the Carthaginian Eagles to the biggest football stadium in the globe.

With 10 points from four games, Tunisia leads Group H in the World Cup qualifying tournament. In March, the team will play important matches against Malawi and Liberia, which could help them qualify.

Trabelsi is eager to help Tunisia do better in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 in addition to the World Cup. The new coach is committed to making up for Tunisia's lackluster performance in recent AFCON competitions.

"Tunisia's football history is fantastic. "We want it to regain its proper position in African football," Trabelsi stated.

Trabelsi will be widely observed during his second stint with Tunisia as he attempts to lead the squad to victory with strong leadership and well-defined goals.
