The final matches of the stage 1/8 finals of Euro 2024 will be held on 2 July. One of the meetings will be the game between the national teams of Romania and the Netherlands.

The Romanian team found itself in the play-offs for the first time in 24 years, taking the first place in the quartet with Slovakia, Belgium and Ukraine. And the Netherlands missed Austria and France in their group, but in the group of teams that took the third place, they were the best, so they will also play in the 1/8 finals.

If we talk about personnel issues before the match, Edward Iordanescu will not be able to count on defender Nicusor Bancu, who received his second yellow card at the tournament in the match against Slovakia and therefore will miss the game with the Netherlands.

He is expected to be replaced by Vasile Mogos and Dejan Sorescu, who are both attack-minded, but Iordanescu may favour the former due to his defensive abilities. Thus, Andrei Ratiu will move to the left.
