The Atlas Lions will kick off their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Gabon on 25 September 2026. The match will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 7 pm GMT. Playing in front of their home crowd, the Atlas Lions will be looking to start the qualifiers with a win to cement their status as favourites in Group A.

On matchday 2, Morocco will travel to face Lesotho on 29 September 2026. However, the match cannot be played on Lesotho’s home turf due to the lack of an approved stadium. Lesotho will therefore host the Atlas Lions in South Africa, at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 pm GMT.

Having hosted the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco is aiming to secure its place at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
