Jim Allevinah and Mario Lemina ruled out of the Gabon Panthers squad; Sebastien Migne calls up two replacements

There have been two changes to the squad of 24 players originally called up for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Gabon’s manager, Sebastien Migne, will have to make do with a reshuffled squad for the first two matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. Although they had been called up to face Morocco and Niger, Jim Allevinah and Mario Lemina have been forced to withdraw due to injury.

To make up for these two absences, the Gabon manager has decided to call up Randy Essang Matouti and Clech Loufilou. The two players have therefore been summoned to join the Gabonese squad for the international break.

These changes come just a few days before the start of Gabon’s qualifying campaign. The Panthers will kick off with an away fixture in Morocco, where they will face the Atlas Lions on 25 September on matchday one.

Gabon will then continue their campaign at home. On matchday two of the qualifiers, the Panthers will host Niger in Libreville on 29 September.
