2027 AFCON Qualifiers: Morocco’s official line-up against Gabon revealed

The Moulay-Abdallah Stadium is set to host the Atlas Lions’ opening match in the qualifiers for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

Morocco will play in front of their home crowd in Rabat to kick off their campaign this Friday, 25 September. This opening Group A clash between the Atlas Lions and the Panthers is already shaping up to be a decisive encounter.

Mohamed Ouahbi’s side will be looking to build on the momentum they have maintained since the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, Gabon will be looking to defy the odds on Moroccan soil. Sébastien Migne and his players will be hoping to return to Libreville with no major regrets.

With kick-off for this opening match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for 7 pm GMT, Morocco’s manager, Mohamed Ouahbi, has revealed his starting XI.

The indispensable Yassine Bounou is in goal, whilst Mazraoui, Aguerd and Bouaddi line up in defence.
