Mbappé hopes that the French national team will awaken in their first playoff match

The French national team will face Belgium in their first playoff match of the 2024 European Championship on Monday, July 1.

Star and leader of Les Bleus, Kylian Mbappé, shared his expectations for this game. The forward hopes his team will wake up, as the French did not display convincing performances during the group stage, according to him.

"We hope the French team will wake up tomorrow. We did not show a high level in the group stage, but we managed to reach the playoffs, and now we intend to make it to the quarterfinals. We need to improve.

We are facing a strong team, and if we don't win, we'll be heading home," Mbappé stated at the press conference.

He noted that playing against Belgium will be very challenging, but France has the right team, the right players, and the entire squad is ready for the challenge.
