The Stanley Cup Playoffs 2024 have just concluded, yet the National Hockey League has already released the schedule for the upcoming season.

The new season will commence on October 4 and conclude on April 17. Here are the key dates for the new season:

  • October 4: The regular season begins in Prague with a match between New Jersey and Buffalo.
  • October 8: The regular season starts in North America. Florida will raise the championship banner in a match against Boston. Utah will play its first game in history.
  • October 10: Macklin Celebrini makes his NHL debut.
  • October 22: All 32 teams will play.
  • October 28: Steven Stamkos returns to Tampa Bay as part of Nashville.
  • November 1-2: Dallas and Florida will play in Tampere, Finland.
  • December 16: Rematch of the final: Edmonton hosts Florida.
  • December 31: Winter Classic between Chicago and St. Louis.
  • February 10-21: Regular season pause for the Four Nations Tournament.
  • March 1: Columbus and Detroit will play outdoors.
  • April 17: End of the regular season.
