Manchester City break Man United's record for consecutive matches without defeat in the UCL


Yesterday, Manchester City secured a 4-0 away victory over Slovan Bratislava in their second UEFA Champions League group stage match of the 2024/25 season, setting a remarkable new record.
Details: Manchester City broke the record previously held by Manchester United for the longest unbeaten run in regular time in Champions League history.
Pep Guardiola's side is now undefeated in 25 consecutive matches. The last time City lost was in extra time against Real Madrid, 1-3, in the semifinals of the 2021/22 Champions League.
Last season, City were eliminated by Real Madrid in the quarterfinals, though both legs ended in draws, with the English champions falling in a penalty shootout.
Manchester United's record stood at 24 consecutive unbeaten matches, with their streak ending in 2009.
City’s next Champions League opponent will be Sparta Prague.
