Liverpool created their own problems with Núñez sale. What's going on?

During the summer transfer window, Liverpool have been actively considering the sale of striker Darwin Núñez, but the process has hit some snags.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, the issue lies in the price the Reds are demanding. Napoli have been named among the interested parties, but the €65–70 million price tag set at Anfield for the Uruguayan is simply too steep for them.
Quote: “I still expect Darwin to leave. At this point, after talks between Liverpool and Napoli, the price remains high—no less than €65 million. Ideally, Liverpool even want more than €70 million. So for Napoli, the situation is: ‘Yes, we like Darwin, we want him, he's ready to join, but under these conditions, it's tough.’
Let's see if they can reach an agreement on the structure of the deal with Liverpool. For now, negotiations between the clubs haven't progressed precisely because of the price. There is also interest in Darwin from Saudi clubs, but the transfer fee will be decisive. The player is open to a move, Napoli are interested, but for now, the €65–70 million price tag is just too high,” Romano told Football Transfers.
