Lewandowski couldn't help. Austria convincingly defeated Poland

In the second round of the group stage of the European Championship, Poland played against Austria on Friday, June 21.

Austria started the match brilliantly, opening the scoring in the ninth minute through Gernot Trauner. After this shocking start, the Poles managed to calm the game and even equalized. In the 30th minute, Piatek restored parity on the scoreboard. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

After the break, Austria continued to dominate on the field and found an opportunity to take the lead again. In the 66th minute, Baumgartner scored what turned out to be the winning goal. Twelve minutes later, a Polish defender played carelessly in his penalty area, resulting in a penalty. Marko Arnautović converted it, sealing the match at 3-1.
