Kaizer Chiefs' Lebohang Maboe on their clash against Zamalek: We need our conversion rate to be proportionate to the chances we create
Lebohang Maboe has called on Kaizer Chiefs to get their conversion rate higher so they can be able to equal the number of chances they create.
Maboe and his Amakhosi team-mates are in Egypt for a clash against Zamalek this evening in the Caf Confederation Cup encounter.
This is a must win match for the Naturena-based side as they look to seal their last eight spot in the continental competition.
“The most important thing is that we are creating chances,” Maboe told his club’s website.
“Credit must go to our frontline players for getting into those positions. It shows we’re doing something right.
“Of course, it would be better with a higher conversion rate, but the players are working hard to make sure we start finishing the chances we create.”
Chiefs are on top with 10 points while Zamalek are second with eight, Al Masry are third with seven and Zesco complete the group with three.
Chiefs, Zamalek and Al Masry have a chance to qualify for the next round but Maboe’s hope is that they better their conversion rate to ensure qualification.
The match starts from 18:00 at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia.
