It is known why Barcelona deleted publications about the move out of Felix and Cancelo

On the last day of June, Barcelona's club media outlets posted reports that on-loan Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo would be returning to their clubs. Those postings were soon removed, and here's why.

According to ESPN, the reports were removed because both Barcelona and the players intend to extend their co-operation, and the statement made it sound as if the door had closed and nothing more could be done.

"Blaugrana" is in close contact with the players' agent Jorge Mendes and is still waiting for clarification of their financial situation this summer.

Recall that Felix and Cancelo's rental agreements expired on 30 June. If Barcelona do not make the deals permanent, the former will return to Atletico Madrid and the latter to Manchester City.

Both are currently representing the Portuguese national team at Euro 2024.
