Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has praised Samuel Chukwueze after scoring twice in Nigeria’s 3-1 win over Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Onyedika struck two goals on Tuesday night at the Complexe Sportif de Fès as Nigeria wrapped up their Group C campaign in style. Both goals were created by Chukwueze, continuing a strong on-field partnership between the two players.
The Fulham winger also assisted Onyedika’s first-ever international goal against Benin Republic in June 2024. The 24-year-old has now scored three goals in 19 appearances for Nigeria, all from Chukwueze’s assists.
After the match, Onyedika joked, “I need to buy Samuel Chukwueze a gift… All my three Super Eagles goals came from his assists.”
