Calvin Bassey has voiced frustration after receiving a yellow card during Nigeria’s final AFCON group match, which ended in a 3-1 win over Uganda. The victory sealed nine points for the Super Eagles, who will face Mozambique in the round of 16.
Speaking after the game, Bassey questioned the decision, saying, “I don't even want to speak on the ref again”… adding the booking was “a bit unfair”… and “a bit harsh.”
Despite the incident, the defender shifted focus to the knockout stage, noting, “thank God we got another game”… and promising “Same energy”… as Nigeria aim to build momentum and “give 100%” there.
