During the match, Simeone directed a series of provocative and harsh remarks at Real's Brazilian star, but when questioned after the game, Simeone claimed he remembered nothing:
"I don't remember anything, I have a bad memory. What happens on the pitch, since childhood, stays there—there's nothing to comment on.
We played the way we wanted, created chances, but we lacked composure in the final third. I can't say anything to my players except to congratulate them and tell them to keep going in the same spirit," summarized the Atlético coach.
Recall that during yesterday's derby, Simeone shouted at Vinícius:
"Florentino will kick you out, remember what I'm telling you."
This sparked outrage among Real Madrid players and coaching staff, leading to a heated confrontation.
In response, Vinícius Júnior did not stay silent and fired back at Simeone under a post featuring a video clip of the verbal spat between the Real and Atlético benches.
