Croatia's head coach Zlatko Dalić commented on yesterday's 1-1 draw against Italy in the final group stage match of Euro 2024, which has nearly eliminated his team from playoff contention.

Croatia conceded the equalizing goal from Mattia Zaccagni in the eighth minute of added time, and Dalić criticized match referee Danny Makkelie for adding too much time to the match.

"I don't know where the referee found those 8 minutes of added time. I've been talking about UEFA's and FIFA's behavior for five years, but no one listened, I look ridiculous. We are all small to them, everything I say falls on deaf ears. There can't be eight minutes of stoppages in a match. What fouls, what interruptions were there to add eight minutes?" Dalić stated in the press conference.

However, it is worth noting that Croatia still has a theoretical chance to advance to the playoffs. Four conditions in the remaining matches of the tournament must align for them to progress.
