On 7 June at the Borussia-Park stadium in Menchengladbach, Germany, a friendly match between the national teams of Germany and Greece will take place.

The Germans have already had a friendly in the summer window - on 3 June in Nuremberg, they parted ways with Ukraine 0:0. But for the Greeks it will be the first and penultimate match of the summer, because at Euro 2024 team Nikos Papadopoulos did not qualify for Euro 2024 and in June will hold only one more sparring against the national team of Malta.

Head coach Julian Nagelsmann is expected to rotate the squad after the match against Ukraine. This will be primarily due to the arrival of Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger, who have already celebrated the Champions League victory with Real Madrid.

Others expected to get their chance include David Raum, Benjamin Henriks, Nico Schlotterbeck and Niclas Füllkrug.

The Greeks will play for the first time under Nikos Papadopoulos, who replaced Gustavo Poyet after the latter's failure in the qualification play-offs for Euro 2024.
