Fury's father expressed concerns that Tyson's fight against Oleksandr Usyk could be dull
John Fury, the father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, expressed concerns during a press conference about the upcoming unified title fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury Sr. fears that the fighters will adopt a cautious approach, likening the bout to a chess match.
"It's going to be a chess match... it's going to be a boxing match between two technical specialists of the ring. It might be a bit boring to watch because of their fighting style," said John Fury.
"Buy your tickets here, guys!" responded the Gypsy King. One of his entourage then added, "We've just lowered the ticket prices..."
It is worth recalling that during Tyson Fury's press conference with promoter Frank Warren, he also addressed another British boxer, Anthony Joshua, and referred to him as a "big sausage."
The fight between the Gypsy King and Usyk will headline the boxing event on May 18. Organizers have previously announced the full undercard lineup for the evening in Riyadh.
