In the English Premier League today, on May 19th, the final round of the 2023/24 season took place. As a result of the last matchday, the champion, participants of the European competitions, and the teams leaving the elite division were determined.

Manchester City became the champion as expected, needing to defeat West Ham at their home ground, a task they ultimately accomplished under Pep Guardiola's leadership. Alongside the 'Citizens,' Arsenal, Liverpool, and Aston Villa will represent England in the UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham secured fifth place by defeating Sheffield United, earning them a spot in the Europa League. Chelsea also won their match and remained in sixth place, ensuring their participation in European competitions. Newcastle also emerged victorious and surpassed Manchester United, claiming seventh place.

Now it's all up to the 'Red Devils.' If they defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup final, they will play in the Europa League, and Chelsea will compete in the Conference League. Newcastle, in turn, will be left without European football. Otherwise, Mauricio Pochettino's team will play in the Europa League, and Newcastle will represent England in the Conference League.

Additionally, Sheffield United and Burnley will be joined by Luton in the Championship. Interestingly, these three teams were promoted from the second-tier division to the Premier League last year, but none of them managed to stay in the top flight.
