UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin offered his commentary on the European court's decision regarding the illegitimate prohibition of the Super League.

He stated that they would not obstruct nor attempt to halt the formation of the Super League. They can do anything they please.

"I hope they start their main competition as soon as possible... with two clubs. Football is not for sale," remarked Čeferin.

He added that the Super League, as it is termed in England, is a "Zombie League." Additionally, Čeferin drew an analogy, noting that Christmas is approaching, and they saw a box under the tree, started celebrating, but upon opening it, realized there wasn't much inside.

As a reminder, on December 21, the European Union's Supreme Court ruled that FIFA and UEFA acted unlawfully when they blocked the European Super League. Thus, the high-profile football project gained a second lease on life. However, top clubs and leagues opposed the creation of the Super League.

We would also like to mention that we have prepared a comprehensive chronology of the conflict, starting from the official announcement of the intention to create a tournament involving the best football clubs in Europe.
