"We had to suffer a bit" - England head coach about the match against Serbia

In the first round of the group stage of the 2024 European Championship, the England national team secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Serbia.
Three Lions' head coach Gareth Southgate shared his thoughts, stating that Serbia is a strong team and his side had to endure some struggles. However, he was pleased with the win.
"We had to endure some struggles, and I believe this is very beneficial for us. We defended brilliantly under the opponent's pressure. I am very pleased with the team's performance, especially in the first half. It is crucial that we started with a victory," Southgate stated.
In the upcoming match against Denmark, the England coach expects the opponent to play somewhat differently, thus presenting new challenges for England.
"We need to utilize the ball as effectively as we did in the first half against Serbia, and we must thoroughly study Denmark's game against Slovenia to understand what adjustments we need to make," Southgate added.
Following the match against Serbia, England will play two more games in the group stage: against Denmark on June 20 and against Slovenia on June 25.
