Fenerbahce confirmed the conclusion of an agreement with Jose Mourinho

After six months without a job, José Mourinho has finally settled on a new club.

Following his dismissal, there was much speculation about his next appointment, including potential roles with Premier League clubs, notably Chelsea, where he previously worked. Many predicted Mourinho would continue his career in Saudi Arabia.

However, it appears this saga has come to an end, as Turkish club Fenerbahçe is set to announce their collaboration with Mourinho today. This information was shared on Fenerbahçe’s official channel on social media platform X.

The Turkish club posted a video in which Mourinho urges the club's fans to gather at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium today, June 2.

Additionally, Fenerbahçe's page features photos showing the construction of a stage on the stadium's field, presumably for Mourinho’s presentation as head coach.

Another photo shows the Portuguese coach with a board listing his trophies behind him, and next to him, a sign indicating today's date and the time 19:00 (18:00 CET). From all this, it can be concluded that Fenerbahçe has officially signed a contract with José Mourinho and will announce it publicly today.

Fenerbahçe has won the championship title nineteen times, the Cup seven times, and the Turkish Super Cup nine times. They also have one UEFA Champions League and one Europa League victory to their name.

In the current season, the club finished second, three points behind Galatasaray, and will compete in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers next season. In the Conference League, the club was eliminated in the quarterfinals by the tournament winners, Olympiacos.
