Fans simply can't forgive their national team for crashing out of the World Cup.

Details: According to The Sun, South Korean police rushed to the airport where their national team is set to arrive after a disastrous World Cup campaign.

The reason behind such heightened security measures is truly alarming—a death threat against head coach Hong Myung-bo after South Korea failed to make it out of the World Cup group stage, suffering defeats to Mexico and South Africa.

Even though the country's president had already ordered an investigation into the team's failure, Korean fans are taking a much more radical stance.

"We have decided to deploy police officers to prevent any unfortunate incidents that may occur during the arrival procedure. We will respond strictly to any illegal actions, including throwing objects," the police statement said.

South Korea finished third in their group thanks to a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic, but it wasn't enough to book a place in the knockout rounds.
