CONMEBOL officially requests FIFA to expand the 2030 World Cup to 64 teams

The 2030 World Cup is already set to be the first in history to take place across three continents, but the innovations might not stop there.
Details: Today, it was officially announced that CONMEBOL has requested FIFA to expand the tournament to include 64 teams.
Here's how the president of the organization, Alejandro Dominguez, commented on the matter:
"We have officially requested FIFA to expand the tournament. This would allow Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay to host one group each in the group stage.
It would also be a great gift to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the tournament. Significantly more countries would be able to feel this celebration."
Reminder: Initially, it was planned that Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay would host the first three matches of the 2030 World Cup, with the main part of the tournament taking place in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
