CAF Confederation Cup: all winners in history

The latest edition of the CAF Confederation Cup has come to a close, marking the 22nd chapter in the competition's history. Moroccan side Renaissance clinched the trophy after overcoming Tanzania's Simba in the final (3-1 on aggregate). For the club from Berkane, this victory was their third in club history, and we're taking a look back at all the champions.
The tournament was established in 2004 following the merger of the CAF Cup and the CAF Cup Winners' Cup. The inaugural champions were Ghana's Hearts of Oak, and in total, 13 different clubs have lifted the trophy. Renaissance now stands alongside Tunisia's Sfaxien as the most decorated club in Confederation Cup history.
All tournament winners:
- Renaissance Berkane (Morocco) and Sfaxien (Tunisia) — 3
- TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Étoile du Sahel (Tunisia), Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Zamalek (Egypt) — 2
- FAR Rabat (Morocco), Hearts of Oak (Ghana), Stade Malien (Mali), FUS Rabat (Morocco), MAS Fez (Morocco), AC Léopards (Congo), Al Ahly (Egypt) — 1
It's also worth noting that Renaissance will now compete for the CAF Super Cup against the winner of the African Champions League. The Moroccan side will face either Egypt's Pyramids or South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
