The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, plans to appeal to FIFA to use VAR in international friendly matches. This idea arose from the director of the CBF after the friendly match against Spain.

Spain and Brazil put on quite a show on Tuesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu. Three out of six goals were scored from penalties.

The controversial moments arose from Spain's first penalty, in which Lamin Yamal dramatically fell to the ground, and Brazil's penalty, when substitute Galeno went down after contact from Dani Carvajal.

"I don't understand why VAR is not used in Europe in such important matches. It's outdated. We are going to ask FIFA to also use VAR in international friendly matches in the future," said Rodrigues to Brazilian media.

It is worth noting that after the final whistle, there was a scuffle between Vinicius Junior and Alvaro Morata. Additionally, during the match, the Real Madrid forward pushed Aymeric Laporte, which went unnoticed by the referee.
