Madrid in disbelief! Leipzig stalls for time in the deal of the century
The transfer that once seemed a done deal is now hanging by a thread.
Details: Real Madrid is stunned by RB Leipzig's approach in the talks for Yan Diomande. The German side continues to drag out the formalities, and in Spain, this stance is seen as, at the very least, unusual.

Madrid expected the deal to be wrapped up days ago: the club and the player had long since reached an understanding, and the Ivorian winger had already mentally bid farewell to Germany. But Leipzig is in no hurry to give their final answer, and with each passing day, the tension in the Spanish capital only grows.
The stumbling block remains the fee. The Germans are sticking to their own valuation of around €130 million and feel no pressure—Diomande's contract runs until 2030, so there’s no need to rush into a sale. Real, meanwhile, believes it has already made a major concession by raising their offer to a club-record package.
It's worth noting that last season Diomande played 36 matches for RB Leipzig, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists. Transfermarkt values the 19-year-old winger at €90 million.
Reminder: Transfer on the brink of collapse! Real face unexpected setback in Diomande negotiations.
