WAFCON 2026: Cameroon’s starting XI against Ghana revealed

The Indomitable Lionesses and the Black Queens face off on Matchday 2 of Group D.

The clash between the Cameroon and Ghana women’s teams will kick off at 5 pm GMT at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca. The two sides, vying for top spot in Group D, face off on matchday 2 of the group stage of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which is being held in Morocco.

Cameroon, who beat Mali 2–1 on the matchday 1, are looking to build on that result against Ghana. For their part, Ghana also defeated Cape Verde on the matchday 1 of Group D, with the Black Queens winning 2–0.

The two teams are therefore level on points in the group and each will be looking to gain the upper hand. The match this Sunday, 2 August, at 5 pm GMT is set to be a decisive one. The winner will pull ahead ahead of the third matchday.

But ahead of kick-off at 5 pm GMT, Valentine Nguele, head coach of the Cameroon women’s team, has revealed her starting XI.
