WAFCON 2026: the fixtures for Matchday 2 of Group D
Cameroon and Ghana are set to face off in what promises to be an epic clash, followed by the match between Mali and Cape Verde.
The second day of the group stage of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, taking place in Morocco, is drawing to a close with the Group D matches. Two fixtures are scheduled for this Sunday, 2 August.
Cameroon will take on Ghana in a highly anticipated clash at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca at 5 pm GMT. The two teams are vying for top spot in Group D following their respective victories on the first day.
The Indomitable Lionesses had beaten Mali 2–1. For their part, the Black Queens had got the better of Cape Verde 2–0 in their opening match.
The second match of the second day in Group D will see Cape Verde take on Mali at 8 pm GMT. Both teams, having lost on the first day, are looking to bounce back. Both Mali and Cape Verde are hoping for a win to keep their tournament hopes alive.
