Brazil Expresses Interest in Hosting 2029 FIFA Club World Cup

During FIFA’s Executive Football Summit in Miami, Brazil's Football Confederation (CBF) formally expressed its interest in hosting the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup. CBF president Samir Xaud met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Secretary General Mattias Grafström, who reportedly welcomed the proposal.
Speaking to O Globo, Xaud highlighted the strong enthusiasm for the current edition of the tournament in Brazil as a driving factor. While not yet a formal bid, the statement signals Brazil's readiness to host. The 2029 edition is expected to feature 32 teams, and the host nation would receive an additional qualification spot.
Other potential candidates include Morocco, Spain, Portugal, and Australia. FIFA has yet to outline the official selection process. The current tournament is underway in the United States and serves as a benchmark for future editions.
