Romanian investigative authorities have released the first toxicology findings regarding the driver of the minivan in which seven fans of the Greek club PAOK lost their lives.
Details: According to News.ro, citing investigative sources, the Greek supporters consumed both alcohol and narcotics during their trip to the Europa League match. The most shocking revelation, however, is that the minivan’s driver was also under the influence of drugs.
The investigation also examined the vehicle’s strange maneuver prior to the crash. Although possible technical failure or a locked steering wheel during overtaking are still being considered, the substances found in the driver’s blood could be the main explanation for the loss of control.
As a reminder, the tragedy occurred as the fans were heading to France for the Europa League clash against Lyon. Currently, two of the three survivors from this horrific accident have already been airlifted to Thessaloniki for further treatment. One remains under medical supervision, while the other has been transferred to home rehabilitation.
Reminder: Lyon wants to keep their striker Endrick at all costs.
