In Matchday 13 of Ligue 1, Monaco suffered a crushing 1-4 defeat away to Rennes.
With the outcome already sealed and only five minutes left on the clock, the substitution every fan had been waiting for finally happened. Paul Pogba was named in the squad for the first time and made his Ligue 1 debut for Monaco.
In total, due to a doping-related suspension, the former France international midfielder missed 811 days of competitive football.
The last time Pogba took to the pitch was back in September 2023, when he was playing for Juventus. In the summer of 2025, Pogba signed with Monaco, but only managed to make his Ligue 1 debut in round 13. Previously, Paul had played for both Manchester United and Juventus.
