A setback for Die Mannschaft! Germany star suffers injury against Ivory Coast

The Germany national team was forced into an early substitution in their second group stage match of the World Cup against Ivory Coast.

Nico Schlotterbeck sustained an injury during a challenge with Amad Diallo early in the game. The defender initially played on despite discomfort, managing to finish the first half.

For the second half, Germany's head coach Julian Nagelsmann was forced to bring on Antonio Rüdiger as Schlotterbeck's replacement.
