Leader and star of the England national team, Jude Bellingham, faces a potential fine or suspension due to his behavior in the Euro 2024 round of 16 match against Slovakia.

UEFA is investigating Bellingham's obscene gesture following his goal in the fifth minute of added time. The Real Madrid midfielder first kissed his hand and then demonstratively appeared to place it near his intimate area.

Bellingham explained that his gesture was a joke towards his close friends who were at the game.

"It was a joke towards my close friends who were at the game. Nothing but respect for the way the Slovak team played", Bellingham was quoted by Marca.

It is worth noting that Bellingham's goal allowed England to take the game into extra time, where they secured a 2-1 victory. In the quarter-finals, Gareth Southgate's team will face Switzerland.
