VAR mistake? Haaland’s goal against Real Madrid was offside, claims analysis

Manchester City is hosting Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League knockout round, and as expected, the match has not been without controversy.
Details: In the 19th minute, Haaland found the net to put City ahead. VAR took a moment to review the play for a potential offside but ultimately allowed the goal to stand. However, the Archivo VAR account on X (formerly Twitter) claims that the referees made a mistake.
According to their analysis, VAR used the wrong camera angle to assess the replay. They argue that Haaland was slightly ahead of the ball at the crucial moment, which should have resulted in the goal being disallowed.
Interestingly, this was the first time Haaland managed to score against Real Madrid in five meetings. It took him 378 minutes and 14 shots to finally find the net against Los Blancos in the Champions League.
By the way, the Dailysports team has prepared the full schedule and results of all Champions League knockout stage matches for you. Kickoff times are listed in Central European Time.
To recap: In one of his podcasts, former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero said that City are now in a slightly better position and should pass Real Madrid, and if not, he will cut something off.
