Currently, only the elite levels of English football and select cup matches have access to VAR. However, the English Football League (EFL), which includes the Championship, League One, and League Two, could soon see video assistance introduced.

Details: According to The Times, a full VAR system is not expected in these competitions. However, if FIFA and IFAB approve the implementation of a simplified Video Support System (FVS), it could be adopted for EFL tournaments.

The system must first undergo testing to determine its suitability for EFL competitions.

Reminder: Recently, the Football Association revised its use of VAR in the FA Cup, moving away from restricting it to Premier League stadiums. Starting from the Round of 16, VAR will now be used in all matches, regardless of venue.
