Tylon Smith: Bafana Bafana's Mbekezeli Mbokazi is a talented footballer with a great work a ethic destined for greater heights in world football

Tylon Smith has revealed his admiration for fellow Bafana Bafana team-mate Mbekezeli Mbokazi.

Mbokazi and Smith are both graduates from the South African national Under-20 side alongside Shandre Campbell who are in Morocco with the national side for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The trio won the Cosafa Under-20 football tournament in Mozambique and also conquered the the continent’s Under-20 Afcon but failed to leave an impression at the Under-20 World Cup, in Chile.

Both Mbokazi and Campbell did not play at the World Cup but Smith did.

Smith, who is based in England, plays for Championship side Queens Park Rangers is raving about Mbokazi’s defensive prowess.

“Yeah, Beki… such a talented footballer,” Smith told iDiski Times.

"He’s got so much experience now, he’s grown as a player, and to play with him it’s good. I said this before; he makes your job easier. I love his personality as well; he’s a hard worker on and off the field. He’s just an amazing human being. So, I guess to play with him again will be nice. We have a good understanding, so yeah.”

Mbokazi is enjoying his career as he arrived in Morocco as a Chicago Fire player as he completed his move to MLS from Orlando Pirates two weeks ago.

The left-footed defender is expected to play a leading role for Bafana on Monday as they start their Afcon campaign against Angola.
