Ricardo Goss: Africa Cup of Nations tournaments always comes with nerves and we are not exempted from those
Ricardo Goss has attributed to nerves as the cause for Bafana Bafana to concede against Angola.
The Bafana reserve goalminder said the Africa Cup of Nations tournament is a competition which will come with nervousness among the players.
Bafana took the lead against Angola via an Oswin Appolllis goal and conceded within a short space of time which was rather astonishing given the national side’s pedigree in the previous tournament.
Bafana finished third in the tournament played in Ivory Coast two years ago and are in Morocco for the 35th edition as favourites to win the continental spectacle.
“We knew that we gave away a cheap goal but it’s still the early stages I guess,” Goss told SuperSport.
“We can’t be hard on ourselves, but we just need to be careful in our next coming game.
“The coach was motivating us in the change room and was a bit disappointed on us because we were a bit nervous.
“But obviously in a tournament like this, there are nerves.”
