Tuchel has responded to the question of why he chose England national team over Manchester United

Newly appointed England head coach Thomas Tuchel responded to questions about why he chose to lead the "Three Lions" instead of Manchester United.
There had been rumors that the German coach was being considered for the role of manager at the “Red Devils.”
Quote: "Why England and not Manchester United? Well, I liked the idea here with the English Football Association. The way the project was presented by the CEO made the decision for me. It wasn't about choosing against anyone else or any club," Tuchel said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Reminder: Tuchel's contract with the English FA will take effect from January 1, 2025, and is set to run for 18 months.
This will be Tuchel's first experience managing at the international level. His last position was at Bayern Munich, and before that, he managed Chelsea, PSG, and Borussia Dortmund.
Following Gareth Southgate's resignation, England U-21 coach Lee Carsley served as interim manager, guiding the national team to nine points in four Nations League matches.
