TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic on their 6-0 loss to Orlando Pirates: We did not expect such a display from Pirates as we planned differently
Adnan Beganovic admitted Orlando Pirates exceeded TS Galaxy’s expectations when they came to Mbombela Stadium in yesterday’s Betway Premiership.
Beganovic’s Galaxy lost to the Sea Robbers 6-0 in a PSL game at the 2010 World Cup venue in Nelspruit.
“We didn't expect this kind of game at all. We prepared ourselves for something different, but after the red card in the second minute everything turned and made everything so much more difficult for us,” he said after the game.
"Orlando Pirates are a quality team, in the midfield and up front, but too many unnecessary mistakes cost us a lot."
The triumph for Pirates sees them atop of the PSL standings with a point more than second placed and Betway Premiership defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Pirates also have a game more than the Brazilians.
As the PSL heads into the Fifa International break for the week, Beganovic said it will be an opportune time for them to restore their game plan beyond the break.
“We need to analyse everything and we need to try and fix our mistakes from this game. I think the FIFA break has come at the best time for us to refresh ourselves not only mentally, but physically as well," he concluded.
