Rewriting history. Mofokeng dazzles as Pirates set club record

Orlando Pirates delivered one of the most electrifying performances of the season, thrashing Marumo Gallants 6-0 in Matchweek 22 of the Betway Premiership.

This emphatic win marks the club’s biggest away victory ever in the South African championship, underlining the Buccaneers’ absolute dominance on the night.

The star of the show was Relebohile Mofokeng, who netted a sensational hat-trick and deservedly claimed the Man of the Match award. He became the first Pirates player to score three goals in a single league game since Tshegofatso Mabasa achieved the feat in December 2024.

What’s more, Mofokeng is only the second player to register a hat-trick in the league this season. The previous one was by Puso Dithejane against Chippa United back in August.
