On Tuesday, February 13th, the biathlon World Championship continued with the women's individual race.

The victory and the gold medal were claimed by the Italian competitor Lisa Vittozzi, who completed the course in 40 minutes and 2.9 seconds, displaying impeccable marksmanship with no misses during shooting. Taking the second position was the German athlete Janina Hettich-Walz, who trailed Vittozzi by 20.5 seconds but also maintained a flawless shooting record without any extra shots. Completing the trio of leaders was Julia Simon from France. The French biathlete finished 29.6 seconds behind the winner and incurred a single miss during shooting.
