The Williams Formula 1 team will be represented by only one car at the Australian Grand Prix, as announced on the team's official website.

Williams is unable to repair the chassis that was damaged during the first practice session of the Australian Grand Prix, which occurred with driver Alexander Albon behind the wheel. The team currently does not have a spare chassis, hence they will continue competing in Australia with just one car. Albon will use the chassis previously utilized by Logan Sargeant for the remainder of the weekend. However, Sargeant himself will not have the opportunity to participate in the rest of the weekend.

"I have to be completely honest and say no driver wants to give up their seat. I would never want anything like this to happen. Logan has always been an exceptional professional and team player from day one, and it will be tough for him to accept this decision.

At the moment, I can't dwell on the situation at hand, and my sole focus right now is to maximize our potential this weekend and work with the entire team to ensure we do the best job possible," stated driver Alexander Albon.

Team principal James Vowles expressed that they are deeply saddened and acknowledge that in modern Formula 1, not having a spare chassis is unacceptable. However, according to him, Williams fell significantly behind during the winter period.

In Saudi Arabia, a project for a new racing track has been unveiled, set to be constructed in the city of Qiddiya. This track is slated to host Formula 1 competitions instead of Jeddah by 2030. The Speed Park circuit was designed by the legendary Formula 1 track designer Hermann Tilke, along with former driver Alexander Wurz.
