NFF Agree $8.5m Annual Adidas Deal to Sponsor Nigeria National Teams
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have reportedly reached a new agreement with sportswear giant Adidas worth $8.5 million annually.
The deal will see Adidas provide financial support as well as official playing kits and equipment for Nigeria’s national teams as part of efforts to boost the commercial value of Nigerian football.
Former NFF president Ibrahim Gusau disclosed the agreement on Thursday in Abuja, confirming that the contract had been finalised and signed.
The Super Eagles’ official page also confirmed the partnership, revealing details of the agreement.
Under the new deal, Adidas will provide $4.5 million in cash and $4 million worth of equipment and kits for Nigeria’s national teams.
The partnership will begin following the expiration of Nigeria’s current contract with Nike, bringing an end to the existing kit arrangement.
