The head coach of Spain commented on his team's victory over Georgia

The Spanish national team secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Georgia in the Round of 16 of the European Championship.

After the match, La Roja's head coach, De la Fuente, stated that the most crucial task was to calm the team as anxiety was mounting due to their inability to score.

"I noticed the growing concern when we failed to score, which could lead to negative tension, and I wanted them to get that out of their heads. In such a situation, a blow to your morale can be significant, but Robin [the scorer of the own goal] knew he had our utmost respect, affection, and support," De la Fuente declared.

He added that overcoming such difficulties with such normalcy tells you something about the footballer and those around him.

It is worth noting that the Spaniards will play against Germany for a place in the semifinals. The match will take place on Friday, July 5.
